Police introduced a ban on demonstrations in downtown Athens on Saturday over the Imia anniversary, citing fears of unrest.
The ban follows experiences that the neo-Nazi Golden Daybreak and different nationalist teams had deliberate an indication marking the Imia anniversary on the Imia monument in Rigillis Sq., whereas leftist teams scheduled counter-protests.
