Low pay retains Greek teachers from returning



Virtually three out of 5 Greek teachers who work at universities overseas want to return to the nation, however many won’t take the decisive step, largely attributable to low salaries and lack of ample funds for analysis, a survey exhibits.

The Deon Coverage Institute discovered 3,879 Greek teachers in 84 universities in 15 completely different nations. Of these, 479 responded to the survey. Over half (54%) work within the top-50 international universities as ranked by QS World College Rankings 2024.
