A 4.5-magnitude earthquake was felt shortly earlier than midday within the western Peloponnese regional items of Ilia and Messinia.

The Nationwide Observatory of Athens’ Institute of Geodynamics reported that the epicenter of the tremor was situated 4 kilometers west-northwest of the village of Giannitsochori, in Zacharo, at a depth of 5 kilometers.
